Born at Gosford hospital on 23 October 1976, Ben is the elder brother of Samantha to Greg and Carolyn. He moved to the Shire at age three and attended Engadine Infants and Engadine High schools and obtained his HSC with excellent results in math’s and industrial technology. When high school finished he started and completed his apprenticeship in the printing industry.

 What he really loved was his sports. He was always doing something athletic and played touch football, Oztag, rugby league with the Engadine Dragons, baseball with Yarrawarra and Bosco but always with his mates. Surfing was a major part of Ben’s life and he use to go away on surf adventure trips all the time to destinations such as the Philippines and PNG.

Bens sense of adventure and the travel bug within led him to spend time travelling and working in other places including Canada, England and though out Europe.
 

On returning back to Oz, it wasn’t long before he met Jessica and they had a son together named Zayne. He also started excavation and demolition work at that time because he was looking for outside work. Ben is the type of person that could never sit down and never be still. He would often tell a story or a fact to anyone that would listen, but these little stories almost never had an ending.
